Anti made that funny article about TannerBJJ on the previous page but it is clearly outdated as it was written before it got extremely ugly between us. To sum it up TannerBJJ, aka Tanner Rhoden or as we liked to call him TannerBJGays, was the worst shercunt of them all and if I ever run into him let's just say old wounds don't heal but revenge is sweet. He appeared on sherdogs around late 1999-early 2000, at first he was a nonpartisan and didn't choose sides in the sherdog vs anti-sherdog war. That all changed as he befriended a shercunt named Yu Ko Sin, who tried to steal traffic from sherdogs to help start his own website. When Yu Ko and his gang declared war on Anti-sherdogs they were badly defeated and someone claiming to be then shercunt Bababooey(aka kagemusha) beat their dead corpses by spamming their site with gay porn. Tanner believed it really was Bababooey, but Yu Ko didn't and suspected it was Anti himself (who denied it). When Bababooey also denied it Tanner came to his friends aid and declared he was officially a shercunt. We warned him he was making a mistake based on how sherdog treated each and everyone of us here but of coarse he didn't listen to us. And he started the feud without even proof that we did the spamming. Not that he was that bright anyways...he was one of the shercunts who believed Shootoking was a real MMA fighter. He then kissed sherdogs big fat smelly ass for over a year and sherdog trusted him enough to give him mod power on his site. But Sherdog had many other mods and a power struggle soon began with his then fellow shercunt kagemusha. Tanner for reasons we never will understand one day came on here telling us he believed sherdog was “the mecca” and that we would crumble under his rule...I believe he either fell in love with Jeff Sherwood himself or went insane or likely both. He then started to really attack us and we humiliated him each time as he was no match for our skilled flame warriors. With his growing frustrations he began to make up aliases like Dave Hojak, Little Surfer Girl, Chris Chaos, and many more to back himself up and draw a crowd to sherdogs. The first big hint he was Dave Hojak, his main heal alias, was that he used to expose his e-mail address on his ezboard profile (which was Ghost_x0@earthlink.net), but soon he privated it and put it under the Hojak account for the public to see. He also posted pictures of a guy who he claimed to be Hojak but they appeared to be 2 different men, one was a white albino looking guy and the other was a goat faced Vanilla Ice wannabe. I don't doubt those were his friends as he was standing in the pictures with them but how can any of us be sure one of them was the real Hojak behind the monitor? The only guys he fooled were the shercunts, many who admitted they met Tanner but never Hojak in person. When we confronted him with the evidence he said “you guys got me (extreme sarcasm)” and that he was playing the worlds smallest violin for us which we all laughed about meant he was using a metaphor about beating his little meat stick. Things gradually got really bad for Tanner with each defeat to our guys and his inner sherworld rivalry with kagemusha (who was very pro-sherdog but had developed an attitude problem they didn't approve of). He finally had enough and despite no obvious profit that could come of it he gave sherdog a small fortune over the next year to give his site a flashy graphical bell and whistles upgrade when he only had a shitty geocities site to begin with. Admittedly we couldn't compete with that, we had no way to turn a profit and didn't have daddy's enormous trust-fund like this psycho. He then convinced sherdog to abandon his ezboard and create a ubb board which he paid for. The first thing he did was ban kagemusha and gave all the Anti-defectors and nemesis mod power. We were stunned at what lengths he was going to as he turned this from a comical war to very personal. Kage himself was crushed for over a month and being the asshole Tanner was he destroyed the sherdog ezboard when kage tried to keep it as his own. It was difficult to do so because he was such a huge enemy of ours in the past, but eventually we did accept kage (to learn more click here). We were Tanners' biggest rivals and we were now united, which also made us a huge target for him. Tanner practically became sherdog's website owner for much of 2002. He gave sherdog a lot of money and covered MMA news for him, even using his own money to go to shitty low key MMA events in other parts of the country just to report on them. We were men and faced him head on when he came here but he was nothing but a yellow backed piece of shit as he would ban us every time we confronted him on sherdogs and talk smack on us when he knew we couldn't reply. However, funny things did happen on sherdog's during his era. When he first opened the ubb he made an “Ask Madman Forum” designed to be for Madman Willis (aka Steve Pell), seeing as how Pell didn't register for the account yet Anti-Sherdog himself did and reeked havoc before Pell finally came forward to stop him[for more info read on this page], but not before Anti made Tanner look like a total jackass. On a side note the shercunts accused kagemusha of doing this instead of Anti. We always ribbed that the reason he was doing this was that he was gay and in love with sherdog and his fellow shercunts...but one day to our extreme surprise we found out it was not a rib IT WAS TRUE. He posted a long story on sherdog's about how he found out one day he was gay after he went on a date in high school and felt nothing for the girl after kissing her. He probably thought the shercunts would understand but he ended up getting a huge negative backlash over it so he deleted the story and banned anyone who confronted him about it. He did a lot of homo-erotic things too like wishing sherdog a happy birthday, which RTR replied “GAY!GAY!GAY!,” and when he tried to distance himself from our suspicions he was Dave Hojak he claimed he fell out of favor with him. I myself ribbed that he got into a bitch slap fight with him at a Taco Bell parking lot after he accused him of cheating and not treating him like his "significant other" but a piece of meat LOL. But somehow kage went on sherdogs and twisted the story saying that MMA fighter Debbie Purcell started the rumor and it began to get a lot more twisted from there. Tanner was madly in love with Debbie Purcell, maybe because she was so Mastodonian he felt it was close to being straight if he liked her, this infuriated him even further. "Sherdog's 2-inch Penis" made an imp account called H0jak pointing out all of Hojak's contradictions and links to being Tanner himself. Kage bugged them both constantly through AIM, which interestingly enough he noticed Hojak and Tanner would never post at the same time...same with our ezboard....hmmmm. He half heartedly tried to call a truce between us at one point, even offering to buy us beers believe it or not, but so many of us hated him he couldn't get the full cooperation. Then it finally hit the breaking point one day in May 2002. Around this time he got into a fight with Steve Pell, who was notorious for turning face and spamming boards with his own aliases, the only guy worser than Tanner in this respect. He stripped Pell of his mod power and deleted his forums. Pell panicked as he realized he lost a lot of pull, so get back on Tanner's good side he registered for multiple accounts claiming to be Anti-Sherdog members and spammed his board aggressively during the coarse of a few days. As we knew, Pell was impossible to keep off as he had a proxy server and could get a new ip address just by clicking his mouse every time. Tanner being the brainless fucking homo-retard he is ignored the facts it could have been Pell and bought Pell's version of the story that it was Anti-Sherdog members and that he himself was framed to get his mod power back. We would have loved to have taken credit for this as it was quite nasty and satisfying to see but the fact was it wasn't us. He then paid web-host after web-host to shut us down, we knew he was bribing them as we made no TOS violations. Anti lost his site, 2 forums, and even his e-mail during this era. This was a massive hit, we were at the height of our popularity at this time. Tanner then created his own Anti-Sherdog forum on sherdog's board and invited us to post on there, maybe to rub it in to us or just because he was so retarded he actually thought we would post there under his rule. At first we had no idea who sabotaged us as we did have a few enemies as well but Ryan Stiles and "Sherdog's 2-Inch Penis" pieced it together and found a gloat from Hojak that he was to credit. He even shut down RTR's forum when he saw it was also gaining momentum. We were furious and there was no shortage of us declaring we wanted either Tanner or Hojak (if he existed) to face us man to man in an MMA match, we didn't care where, it could have been at a gym just not on the street so it could be legal. He mocked us a lot and would accept occasionally but always showed his yellow streak. Anti then got his site back up and Ryan Stiles being the good pal he was shelled out some money to keep the site from being sabotaged like that again, which was big of him since we didn't make a cent off this site unlike sherdogs. We soon found out Tanner had more enemies then us. Anti himself dared him to confront him in Las Vegas at UFC 37.5 where Tanner/Hojak and a few shercunts were going to meet. They accepted but Anti said he waited for over an hour at the front gates of the event with a few of his friends but didn't see them, only to comically come home a few days later to find out Tanner flaked as all the shercunts asked where he was but he could only lie to them saying “I was there but I was too busy covering the event to meet you guys.” He pissed off a lot of guys across the country and in Canada as well, including MMA fighter Don Frye who called him a doochebag and dared him to come to his gym for a lesson he'll never forget. As I wandered the MMA community I couldn't even find a gym that didn't at least have 1 guy who wanted to bash Tanner's face in. One guy told me he went to a KOTC and shoved Tanner daring him to man up but security broke it up, Tanner didn't retaliate and in his words looked like a bitch and left appearing to hold back tears. Ryan Stiles, who was rumored to be Dennis Hallman, challenged him but knowing it could possibly be Hallman, Tanner declined. Stiles then dared him to instead face his friend a Ruas Vale Tudo black belt and fellow Anti-Sherdog member Sugar Jay [to see what happened click here and look up Sugar Jay]. Jay had the most damaging evidence that Hojak didn't exist because he said he didn't meet Hojak during his MMA tournament but when Hojak accepted his challenge "after seeing him there" and talked like he was right there in his face (a slip up by Tanner who was there). Our member Samad flew to LA to meet him and sherdog but was stood up by both. There were many more but nothing ever materialized as all Tanner/Hojak did was chicken out after making some big idle bravado. He was a true scumbag, he even put his shercunt friend LeiTong (Joe Ortiz) in an MMA smoker match and assured him he was going to win a fixed fight. But without any reason he put him in there with a serious fighter who wrecked him. LeiTong was humiliated and disappeared altogether after Sharp Edges' demise. We criticized sherdog like crazy that he let his psychotic faggot take over his site and even ribbed it should have been called Tannerdog.com. The funny part is that it finally opened Sherwoods' eyes as he did realize Tanner was trying to take over his website. So one day in 2003 despite Tanner's loyalty and the fact he gave him his trust-fund to make the site a mega hit he banned Tanner and stripped all his friends of their mod and admin powers. We couldn't believe it and we celebrated like crazy how he just got stabbed in the back so coldly, it was almost like seeing the real life version of when Dart Vader killed his mentor OB1 Kanobe. He looked foolish and was beyond humiliated. He lost a lot of money and fought us for so long only to realize WE WERE THE GOOD GUYS all along. He went into a downward spiral after this. He created a site called GlobaMMA to compete with sherdogs but failed miserably. It was a little bitter sweet because by this time he had already made sherdog such a big time player that we had no hope of undoing it without a huge financial backer and a new idea for a fresh website. Then Tanner decided to come on our site but not wanting to admit he was wrong like the little bitch he is he told us we sucked but offered to buy Anti out and add his content to GlobalMMA. We forgave former shercunts before, like kage for all his past misdealings with us, but Anti knew there was no chance in hell we could ever forgive him. Anti never asked how much Tanner was offering but he might have thrown away a lot of money because his hate for Tanner ran so deep. Anti of coarse refused and decided to turn the tables on him, since he never showed us the courtesy as the head shercunt he wouldn't either and banned him. But this was proof Tanner was all those aliases, despite the bans he kept getting back on under a new account and with new ip numbers as he too had a proxy server. Anti banned him repeatedly but always allowed him to stay on for a bit so we could lay the smack down on him. However, Tanner finally gave up one day. It turned out he made some enemies on the Underground Forum too (besides Don Frye). Some guy hacked his UG account and sent out a lengthy mass e-mail to everyone on there (which could have been as much as 1 million members) about how he was gay among other derogatory things. Tanner went nuts that someone would do this to him, he once again blamed us but I can tell you right now none of us were that tech savvy. He cried off for good and that was the last we ever saw of him during our heyday. Then in 2005, just out of curiosity I looked up his myspace. I laughed at how he looked like some Fred Durst wannabe during this time and friended many amateur models and pornstars trying to look like he was a lady's man. Samad came back during this time and tried to confront him and restart the rivalry, but he wouldn't bite as he was a dead horse by now. I then found him in 2009 balding and fat still taking pictures with his favorite MMA fighters. I guess he didn't like that I pointed that out cause he came back on as Hojak and started to spew fagbonics all over me telling me things like “I thought you fell on your bastard sword.” I offered to end it all for good with one final physical battle between us but he never replied. I guess with his receding hairline he wasn't confident taking on my black ass and I'm not his sparring partner Blake Gaskins. In the end he was a joke, a punchline, a sad fallen man and he got what he deserved. Unlike him and his former shercunt friends we were noble, brave, and an army united as one...something he can never claim he truly was or was ever a part of.
